Prix de Lausanne is regarded as one of the main platforms for young dancers to make their debut. The very lucky ones who make it through to the finals are given the chance to dance before a public audience. A tiny percentage will be spotted and given contracts with either prestigious ballet schools or professional companies. For the students who don't make the grade it is a time of realisation, a time to reappraise their dreams. |
